Landlord Partnership
Your units. Qualified tenants. Zero vacancy friction.
One Door Wichita is the single housing navigation system for Wichita. We match pre-screened, case-managed individuals to available units — and stay with them after placement.
Wichita has a fragmented housing system. People experiencing homelessness bounce between shelters, 211 calls, and walk-ins without a single coordinated intake. Landlords who want to help lack a trusted pipeline of tenants and ongoing support after move-in.
One Door changes that. We're the unified intake and navigation layer for all of Wichita's housing system — one place where every person in housing crisis comes first. When you partner with us, your available units are visible to every case manager in the city.

Every person referred to your unit has completed our intake, been matched by a case manager, and is connected to wraparound services. You're not taking a risk — you're making a match.
What you get as a partner
Pre-screened referrals
Every tenant referral comes with an intake summary, housing history, and assigned case manager contact.
Ongoing case support
Our case managers stay engaged for 12 months post-placement. You have a named contact to call.
Rental assistance bridge
Many participants qualify for short-term rental assistance, security deposit support, or ESG funding.
Vacancy reduction
Your available units are posted to every case manager in Wichita's network in real time.
Joining the One Door network takes one conversation. Here's what happens from there:
1
You register your units
Tell us what you have available — unit type, rent, location, and any eligibility preferences. This takes about 10 minutes. We update your listing whenever something changes.
2
Case managers match tenants
When a client in our system is a strong match for your unit, their assigned case manager reaches out to you directly with an introduction and intake summary.
3
You make the final call
You review the referral and decide. There's no obligation to accept any specific tenant — standard screening still applies. We just make the pipeline easier.
4
Move-in support & follow-through
We coordinate move-in logistics, connect the tenant to utilities and benefits if needed, and check in at 30, 90, and 180 days. You always have a case manager contact.
Tenant eligibility
Participants are matched to your units based on household size, income, location, and any preferences you specify. Most participants in the One Door system are:
- Adults experiencing homelessness or housing instability in Wichita
- Connected to case management and receiving wraparound services
- Eligible for rental assistance programs including ESG, EHDAP, or HOME
- Committed to a housing stability plan with a named case manager
Is there a cost to join the network?
No. Participation in the One Door landlord network is free. There are no fees, no commissions, and no exclusivity requirements.
Can I still screen tenants myself?
Yes. Standard landlord screening applies to all referrals. One Door does not override your tenant selection process. We provide better-prepared applicants, not mandated placements.
What if there's a problem after move-in?
Every placed tenant has a named case manager. You call them directly. Most issues — late rent, behavioral concerns, maintenance communication — can be addressed faster with a case manager involved.
What types of units are needed most?
Studios and 1-bedrooms are the highest need. We also have families seeking 2- and 3-bedroom units. We work with properties of all sizes, including single-family homes.
Do you work with Section 8 / Housing Choice Voucher holders?
Many participants in our system hold or are eligible for HCV vouchers. Accepting vouchers is encouraged but not required to participate in the network.
How do I update my available units?
You'll have a direct contact at One Door. Email or call them when units change. We aim to reflect changes in the system within one business day.
